Company History
Mac Williams Engineering Limited was incorporated in December of 1984 by M.G. Williams and his sons,
Donald and Steven. M.G. Williams is now retired.
Our company offers Civil Engineering Design services, project management and construction management
for clients throughout Atlantic Canada.
As a company, we have developed a strong reputation for our service by the personal involvement of a
principal of the firm in the technical execution of each and every project.

Steve is a civil engineer, with a diploma in Engineering, Dalhousie University and a degree in civil engineering from the Technical University of Nova Scotia. He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Nova Scotia and a chairman of Waste Water Nova Scotia Society and chairman of The Minister of The Environments On-site Services Advisory Board. During his university years, Steve work in various aspects of the construction and consulting industry for the Nova Scotia Department of Transportion and the municipality of Halifax. Since co-founding Mac Williams Engineering in 1984, Steve has been involved in providing design and field services on a number of projects primarily for unserviced subdivision developments with on-site sewage disposal systems and wells. Steve has been responsible for the design of all the road networks, storm drainage systems, soils evaluations for lot sizing and layout in excess of 2500 lots. Steve has also designed more than 800 on-site sewage disposal systems. Steve has also worked on numerous un-serviced sub-divisions, providing engineering services such as lot layout, road design, well and septic for numerous projects. He has also provided engineering services in the design of sewage treatment plants and pumping facilities. |
Don is a civil engineer, with a diploma in Engineering, Dalhousie University and a degree in civil engineering from the Technical University of Nova Scotia. He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Nova Scotia. During his university years, Don worked on a number of field service projects for the Halifax Dockyard, Bowater Mersey Paper Company, Colby Village, Burnside Industrial Park and the towns of Canso and Lockeport. Since co-founding Mac Williams Engineering in 1984, Don has been involved in numerous engineering and design projects, including fully serviced sub-divisions in Clayton Park West, Portland Hills, Russell Lake, Kidston Estates, Colby South, Carlisle Park in Dartmouth and Kozy Hills in Enfield. |
